I enjoyed the character development that the writer took extra time for at the beginning, which perhaps to some would seem like a slow start to the "good stuff." This was a well written erotica romance novel-I would give it 5 stars for the love scenes and 4 stars for overall read.

A century-old feud between families seems to be a hurdle that needs to be aired again.
Karen enjoys a BDSM club for an outlet of pent up desires and needed release. Watching is a turn on that she craves as well as being watched until she meets an unknown Dom that fulfills her every desire and leaves her with something she has never before experienced, a sexual euphoria. She feels satisfied and cherished.
The family feud that had been on going for centuries stands between Karen and Bye. They both feel a driving need to be together and find ways to do so. It isn't just the wild sex that they both crave but more and they both are willing to fight for what they want.
Karen has an out of control drunken father to cope with that takes a toll on her as she fights for what she desires, Bye.
Bye's world is turned up-side-down when his mother dies and his father has a secret aired that he had kept for more than thirty years. Bye turns to Karen for emotional support and they seem to hold each other together as well as have some fantastic sex to release pent up frustration.
Family secrets air aired and more dug out to hopefully end years of feuding.
Be ready for a few tears of joy at the end of this emotionally, sexual and feud fired relationship.
So glad this is book one because I look forward to more from this author and cast of characters.

How can new lovers overcome an ancient family feud and be together forever?
For Bye Caden and Karen Oakley this is exactly the situation they find themselves in. When they meet at Neon Lasso, a private BDSM club, and quickly discover there are more layers to their attraction than just smokin' hot sex they need to hide their blossoming relationship from both of their families. It is either that or risk getting disinherited or shot!
I always enjoy Ann Jacobs' books and Lovers' Feud is no exception. Karen and Bye are both very likeable characters, deep enough to be able to relate to them as a reader and I certainly was invested in the outcome of the book. The writing is articulate and graceful.
After the hero and heroine's initial meeting they only went back to the Neon Lasso once more, for some racy ménage fun, and then much of the story was about them discovering their past and why their families spent so much time and effort hating one another.
The past unraveled in an interesting way, secondary characters played and important part and set up the scene for future books in the series. I will certainly be on the look out for them.
I would have enjoyed another trip back to the club later in the book and some more steaming scenes with Bye as the star, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story - I guess I'm just greedy!

I have a great love for Ellora's Cave publishing and this one just was okay not fantastic which is surprising to me.
this book had a great story line but I was unable connect with Bye & Karen. it seemed a little rushed and some parts were confusing and a little boring. it also lacked hotness. overall I was a little disappointed.
This book was a good read. At times I felt that the story line could have been better and the characters more likeable but overall I enjoyed reading it. Not sure I will be reading the others in the series though.
From the time I read my first Ann Jacobs book. I have been hooked, she will never disappoint you. I really enjoyed the book, I am ready for the next one.
